This Interior Design Toronto renovation was a first floor gut to facilitate a very large amount of family on a regular basis needing the family to be able to be altogether and add table and chairs when necessary and feel like everyone is together. The most dramatic design change I made was the kitchen, once a tiny room, now expansive space and using the living room space as a dining room space. There was a large family room on the lower level and we enlarged the existing family room to an open space and part of the kitchen area. We removed the existing sliding glass exit from the original kitchen, moved that to the end of the kitchen for flow of traffic in and out of the house. Updated doors in the family room. I added a large floor to ceiling window in the kitchen for the light. Wood burning fireplace, custom cabinetry, lighting, fabrics and accessories. Chevron layout surround for fireplace and built in cabinetry. Laundry room, powder room makeover, new white oak flooring.
