We hired Lisa a year ago to help us with the interior design of our home renovation. We added an extension to the back of the house and gutted the existing interior. Working with Lisa over the last year has been an immense pleasure. Lisa brought lots of great ideas to the table that we had not previously considered. For example, she suggested getting an oiled wood floor which we had never heard of before and were a little sceptical about, but now it is one of our favourite features of the new house. She was open-minded to our ideas but didn’t hesitate to let us know if she thought we were making a poor decision. I met Lisa from Terra Firma a few years ago and hired her to do my outdoors planters. She did such a fabulous job that I had to have her come back the next year and the next and the next for more. She made my outdoor space such a wonderful retreat so of course I needed her to start working her magic inside as well. She has redone my front entrance, living room, family room, master bedroom and en suite bathroom. I absolutely LOVE what she has done with all these. From faux finishes in the bathroom and bedroom walls and ceiling, custom artwork in living room and bedroom, custom upholstery in bathroom and bedroom, custom bench for front entrance, reviving the old furniture, shelving, bedding, and gorgeous accents, Lisa has done it all. The transformation is unbelievable!! Even my husband (a tough critic), is a now a big fan of Lisa. To top it all, she is such an amazing person to work with. She has a great personality, never gets tired of finding the perfect piece, totally understands my style, budget and taste. Highly highly recommended!!!

We retained Terra Firma Design for both exterior and interior design services for a new build home project. For the exterior, they helped us with the colouring of the stucco of the building amongst other exterior colour choices. For the interior, they advised us on both the interior design and material choices for all the bathrooms (5 in total, ranging from a powder room to a large private ensuite) and a massive kitchen. Lisa, our assigned designer, struck the perfect balance of what we needed - someone who would consult and advise us but let us make our own decisions. For us, we wanted a partner to work with on the project rather than someone who had their own vision and wanted to run with it without involving us. We will be calling on Terra Firma Design again in the near future related to both interior furnishings and exterior landscaping

We had a wonderful experience working with Lisa from Terra Firma Design during the recent renovations of our King West townhouse. Quite frankly, I don't know how we would have survived without her! When starting our reno, we were overwhelmed with all of the details, and were struggling to figure out how we were going to make it work with so little time...Then we met Lisa. Not only was she a lot of fun to work with, but she worked closely with our contractor and took charge of all of the finishes and decorations for our house, which made our lives incredibly easy throughout the renovation! From a new kitchen, two new bathrooms, new floors, a new layout and all new furniture and decorations, including a custom banquette, there was a lot that needed to come together and we couldn't be happier with the result! Not long after completing the reno, we sold our house in a less than a week and got way more than we were expecting!

Lisa from Terra Firma Design pretty much helped re-decorate our entire house from the living / dining room to the kitchen. She also helped re-do our backyard with interlock and a pergola. Lisa is very professional and has an excellent sense of style and design. She is willing to work within any budget given and along with the style sense of the home owner. We are very happy with Lisa and the end result is that our house looks great!

Working with Lisa was an amazing experience. We tore up and redid the whole rooftop terrace and lower floor terrace at our loft in Toronto. Lisa Aiken, Terra Firma helped me to redo my terrace so that it was like an extension to my home. She redid the garden putting in alot of beautiful perineals . We put in new steps down to the terrace that changed the entire look of the area allowing for us to put alot of containers and also provided extra seating in an already small area. We furnished it so that it became a beautiful room off my living room to enjoy many great times with friends. Everyone who sits in my terrace comments on the oasis that Lisa created.
